HHS: HealthCare.gov to Provide Detailed Insurance Information

In order to increase transparency about the health insurance options in the marketplace, the Department of Health and Human Services announces the update of “Insurance Finder,” a resource on HealthReform.gov that will include “information from over 4,000 private health plans offered by over 200 insurers, across all 50 states and the District of Columbia.” The updated tool will include details on the percentages of people quoted a higher rate due to their health conditions and the percentage of people turned down for each plan.
