Proposed rule from the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of the Treasury published in the Federal Register on August 17, 2011 that “expands and simplifies Medicaid eligibility and promotes a simple, seamless system of affordable coverage by coordinating Medicaid and CHIP with the new [Affordable Insurance] Exchanges” and “proposes state options for accessing the new federal funding linked to newly eligible individuals.”
